Domain Name
You need to choose a FREE Weebly domain name. This is the default and first option. In the"Use a Subdomain of Weebly.com" box, you don't need to include "www" after the "http://". You MUST begin the name of your site with the letters CWI (the abbreviation for Contemporary World Issues), followed by your topic's name. All one word. You can capitalize the CWI or leave it all lowercase. For example, if your world issue is "human rights", you will write CWIhumanrights or cwihumanrights. A green check mark will indicate whether this domain name is available. If it is NOT, alter it in some way until it becomes available. Once processed, your page name will read: http://CWIhumanrights.weebly.com. Because these sites are FREE, Weebly will tack on the "weebly.com" at the end. For $100 a year, you can register the domain name and drop the "weebly.com". That's what I thought... FREE works just fine.
Site Name
To give your site a name that will pop up in website searches, you need to click on the SETTINGS category at the top of the page. Where it says "Site Title" delete "My Page" and enter the name of your issue. You don't need to include the "CWI" piece here - that was just for the domain name. So, if you've selected Human Rights as your topic, then you could rename your site "Human Rights". (You can also get fancier or more creative, if you'd like.) Don't check the box that says "Show title on the top of your pages" - no need, and it can clog up the screen if someone is viewing this on their phone (which they most likely will be). Since this is the name that'll appear in searches, nothing will be "taken" like it was during the domain process. Type in the name. Click "Save". Then click "Publish" (the orange box in the top right).
